Note:
- Conventional LTL Services are
really designed for smaller orders of less than 1,500 lbs.
- They pick up your orders on a
straight truck, bring it back to their break bulk terminal, off load it
onto their dock and then reload your shipment onto a line haul truck.
- Then, depending on the origin
and destination of your order, your shipment may be taken through
several more break bulk terminals until it finally arrives at the
destination facility.
- Once at destination, your
order is again off loaded to the dock and reloaded onto a straight truck
for final delivery.
